NWT Arts

Born in Berywn, Alberta; have lived in Alberta, BC, Yukon Territory and the Northwest Territories. I have spent the past 12 years living in Hay River and now in Enterprise. I have always had an interest in drawing/art and crafts of all kinds. I work in mediums such as oils, pastels, charcoal and acrylics. My preference however, is graphite. I have had no formal training, but like to read up on and study different techniques to develop my skills. I have been approached a few times by charitable organizations and have donated custom portraits for their causes; most of my works to this point have been a few commissions, but mainly gifts to family and friends. I work fulltime outside the home; although my time is limited, I am working on spending as much time as I can to further develop my skills. One of my greatest rewards is seeing the reaction of the people who receive my finished work. Having a gift to give others such joy is indescribable.
